One tool, no rig.
Take it to the spot and start.
Smaller area, smaller containment.
Blasting still makes dust, so you still screen off — but only the spot, not the site.

Mineral and steel grit both work. Buy from your usual supplier, or order BLSTR Grit. Grit is not reusable.
Questions.
Which types of corrosion and coatings can the BLSTR sander remove?
The BLSTR sander is intended for removing atmospheric rust, heavy corrosion, mill scale, paint, epoxy, powder coating, primers, anti-fouling coatings, oxidation and many industrial contaminants. Actual productivity depends on coating thickness, abrasive selection and substrate condition. It is best suited to localized work rather than large open blasting projects.
When is the BLSTR sander a better choice than compressor blasting?
It is most advantageous for maintenance, repairs, spot blasting, fabrication shops, field service and mobile work. For very large continuous blasting projects, conventional compressor systems remain more productive. The BLSTR sander focuses on reducing total job time by eliminating transport and setup.
Can it be used indoors?
It can, with preparation. This is real abrasive blasting, so it produces dust and spent grit that have to be contained and collected. Indoors that means masking the area, protecting whatever you are not treating, and wearing the recommended protective equipment.
Is the abrasive reusable?
No. The grit is single-use: it breaks down while it works, so it is collected and disposed of after blasting rather than run through the machine again. Treat it as a consumable that needs replacing when you plan a job.
